Cioch Hillwalking Club - Meetup No. 8

Pentland Hills Rollercoaster

Sunday 29th July 2018

Walk Details

The Pentland Hills lie just south of Edinburgh and this walk will take us across 7 tops, including the highest point – Scald Law (579m). As you can imagine there are a few ups and downs, but on the main ridge we never drop below about 450m. There are a few steep sections but these are short. There is short section of main road to walk along at the start and a couple of pathless heathery sections, otherwise it is good paths all the way.

If the weather is clear there are fine views across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife.

Please ensure you bring the appropriate hill walking equipment. You are responsible for your own safety.
