Cioch Hillwalking Club

Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Chreachain

Sunday 24th February

Walk Description

A formidable walk in winter, the pair of hills on the north of the Bridge of Orchy group will provide a fine challenge.

We will initially follow the landrover track NW following the Water of Tulla as it heads into the glen. After around 4km we will turn SE and head for the underpass under the railway and follow Allt Coire an Lochain up the hill to eventually reach Beinn a’Chreachain at 1081m.

From Beinn a’Chreachain we will follow the ridge over Meall Bhuidhe before reaching our second munro of the day – Beinn Achaladair.

We then drop off to the south and aim of the col before Beinn an Dothiadh. It then a case of dropping north down Coire Achaladair and back to Achaladair Farm.
